Housekeeping

The Housekeeping Strand at Mariners’ Polytechnic Colleges, Inc. trains students in maintaining cleanliness, order, and guest comfort in hospitality and residential settings. This strand is ideal for learners who aspire to work in hotels, resorts, cruise ships, and other establishments where high standards of housekeeping are essential. Students will gain practical skills in room preparation, laundry services, cleaning techniques, and customer service, while also learning safety and sanitation procedures. The program prepares graduates for national certification and employment opportunities in the hospitality industry both locally and abroad.

Educational Objectives

  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills in housekeeping operations and services
  • Apply safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in guest and residential areas
  • Perform cleaning, laundry, and room preparation procedures effectively
  • Deliver quality customer service and attend to guest needs
  • Operate housekeeping tools, equipment, and supplies properly
  • Develop organizational skills in managing time and resources
  • Work professionally in hospitality and tourism environments
  • Qualify for national certification (TESDA NC II in Housekeeping)
  • Pursue further education or employment in the hospitality and tourism industry
